Help!!
 

I have a Garmin Zumo 500 with a Touratech mount set up on a R1200GS. The unit is hard wired direct to the battery so it has power all the time. It has been working fine up until now. The bike has been sitting for the past 8 weeks and when I connected the unit to the cradle the other day there is no power to the GPS? I have checked the fuse, terminals and conections and still get 12 volts at one of the pins on the cradle but still the GPS won't work.

has anyone had the same problem and may be able to suggest something to get it to work from the bike again instead of the internal battery.

Any help would be apprieciated.

Hi Ivan,
I replaced a Garmin power lead on my 2610 and found that the new lead only lasted a day. It had an intermittent break in the earth lead.
I checked the lead several times before I found it did not work in certain positions. Connect your tester and move the lead about.

Have you tested the pos and neg on the power cable?
