Poland is your destination point or only point on your roadbook?

I don't have any GPS waypoints, but try to check surroundings of Zakopane, Tatry mountains... travel by big dipper on Kasprowy Wierch walk to the bigest mountain Giewont, and walk back on your foots. Good place is dolina Koscieliska, mountain bik lake - Morskie Oko, Dolina Pieciu stawow. Remeber we have very poor and dangerous roads... it will be truly hardcore for you.

Gary:

I rode from Bratislava north through to Zakopane two years ago - great riding, and Slovakia and Poland are very nice countries to ride in. Try to avoid the larger cities in Poland, because the 'arterial roads' used by heavy truck traffic through those cities can be quite heavily rutted - this makes live difficult on a moto, especially if the road is wet. But other than that problem, which seems to be specific to big cities and their perimeter roads, the riding is great.

There is a big national park in the south of Poland, near the borders with Czech Republic and Slovakia, which is a delightful place to both visit and ride.

In Poland, everywhere you want to buy fuel, you just "pay at the pump" with a credit card, same as in North America or the UK. Same for Slovakia. So don't worry too much about stocking up on local currency.

It is a good idea to pay the additional cost to park your motorcycle indoors or in a guarded compound when you leave it for sightseeing, dinner, etc. The additional cost is not that much, and it is worth it for the peace of mind.
