GPS coordinate method
 
hi,

what is commonly using gps coordinate method? i like to use DD MM.MMM. however, i see many different type. would be nice to use the common one.

Hi my personal experience is Degrees, Minutes and Decimal Minutes, which is exactly what you have selected.

I think you will find that most use DECIMAL DEGREES... as in N51.50295 E0.00311 :thumbup1:

Most lists of GPS points are published in that format.
Speed Cam .csv file are in that format

Yeah, I agree. DD MM.MMM is the best way. That's how GPS systems do it internally too, in their NMEA strings. So if you want to ever extract the raw data, it's easier to work with if you keep it in that format, which can also attribute to this format being more "standard".
