Garmin V - "Find" issues . .

wondered if anyone elses's Garmin V did the same . . .
a month or so back I was in France and tried to 'find', 'cities' Saumur. It didn't have it listed, but then when I tried again later it did.
then a couple of days ago it did the same with Brighton, though when I had it on the map veiw page Brighton was marked clear as day.
do I have a duff unit?

Hi Huey,
I don't recognize your problem but I have found the search facility on the Garmin V different to a search on Mapsource. ie I could not find it on the unit but it did appear on Mapsource.

Garmin have up-dated the Garmin V softwear again the latest update was issued on the 2nd October they now have version 2.40.

Funny, had the same problem with mine (in France at the moment as well) and just thought it was a glitch. Will try to get that updated version as Steve just mentioned. Will let ya know how I go.
Oh, and thanks for that advice about taking out the mapsource maps from my GPS and downloading them again. It worked.
