If it's the National Geographic one then it's a nice coffee table book but a bit big and unweildly for real use. I am waiting for the next edition of the South African MapStudio: Africa Road Atlas to come out later this year.

I've used the MapStudio atlas to get up to Kenya and find them quite accurate.
