World Touring Network - Japan Camp Meeting
October 30-31, 2004 Akiha Jinja-mae Campground, Haruno Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, JAPAN The World Touring Network-Japan will be holding its fourth camp meeting on October 30. Come meet motorcycle travelers, swap stories. Newcomers to international touring can also pick up tips from those who have been before. Information in Japanese: http://www.wtn-j.com/ Directions: From the Hamamatsu or Hamamatsu-nishi exit of the Tomei Expressway in Shizuoka Prefecture, take highway 152 north to highway 362/473 to intersection with pefectural road (kendo) 286 in Haruno Town (28 km from the expressway). Take 286 about 1 km towards Akiha-jinja Shimo-sha (Shinto shrine). The campground is on the left side of the road along the river. Look for a "WTN-J" sign. Note that there is another campground in the area. If you go to Akiha Auto Campground and are charged 2,500 yen, you are in the wrong place.
