Roma, First Idiot aventurer seminar

Hi all. I will make a presentation about my last book (In Spanish) Un millón de piedras (A million stones) in Instituto Cervantes, Roma on the 4th March.

The story is about an African trip done by an Idiot adventuer and told by himself.

See here the event details (in Italian)

Too bad I live very far from Rome and I work on Fridays, otherwise I would have liked to join.

If you'll post a video on Youtube or somewhere else, just let me know and I'll watch it with pleasure.

Post No idiot adventurers here... just ones keen to learn from their mistakes

Hi Miquel,

We would love to attend if only to see the pictures. Instead we are having a winter motorcycle meet with a bunch of Swissies in the snow... freezing our butts off around a fire

You are many things but you're not an idiot... unless the book is about someone else perhaps.

I'm learning spanish but not quite that fast, and why in Roma... is it the publisher that has organised the presentation at the Spanish bookshop?

If you could chose, which would be the country in Africa the most memorable for you? y por qué?

Good Luck with the presentation!

Cheers,

Pascal & Arja

Would be really nice to meet you, Knight. We could talk long about Middle East and Iran

Hi, Pascal. I am doing such kind of presentations in Spain, but as they are "domestic affairs" I do not put the info here, but Italy is an international event, so good for the Hubb.

Lesotho is the African country where I enjoyed most riding because the mountains; Namibia was also great because the desert; Tanzania because the wild animals (at Mikumi, the freeway crosses and old national park); Mozambique because the beaches... difficult to choose just one.

See you soon.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
