Thumbs up EMOK 6th Motorcycle Festival of Turkey 28th june - 1stJuly

Hello all;
I would like to inform Horizonsunlimited community about the 6th Motorcycle festival organised by our club EMOK.
The location is 5 hours away from Istanbul town called Kirka. Kirka is nearby to Eskisehir a big city with 2 universities.

The festival is between 28th of June and 1st of July.

The place is within the forest next to a lake. There will be lot of MC manufacturers (Honda, Suzuki, BMW, KTM to name some) , games to keep people social and enjoy.

Previously we had riders from Germany coming over. Hopefully this year there will be more. This is a good opportunity to meet biker community of Turkiye and have some company.

Accomodation is mainly camping. We provide toilets and showers. There will be lot of food options like last year with reasonable prices. There are few small rooms available in near by towns.

Contact me on list or post here all of your questions and I will try to answer them at my best.

Finally there were over 1.000 riders last year, from all over Turkiye. Hopefully more international riders will join us this year.

Hello

Ozhan already has given the gas prices. I can add that there lot of gas stations where you can get unleaded easily.

The Festival at Kirka would be your first choice for a get together. From where you can head to different directions of Turkey. North for cooler weather, green hills, lots of history.

South for mediterranean, west for egean.

As we are working out the details, several manufacturers will be there presenting their bikes and sponsoring some other activities.

Hope to see you there.

Actualy we do have one oil company as sponsor to the activities.
I say you pay a lot for gas but save ın other items like food, camping etc...

So can we count you in?

Regards

Hey Burak

Thanks for the information.....I would like to come but I am working then. I recently biked to Istanbul via Eastern Europe, staying in the Sultanahmet area and enjoyed it a lot!

BUT! in a year or two I will be free to come in July and would like to visit your festival. So thanks for mentioning it.....Please continue to advertise it each year ......more bikers will come each year...

It is good to see Turkish bikers appearing on the international scene...when Turkey is part of the European Union then it will increase...

Good luck!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
