"The Parking Lot Slalom" Event takes place on youtube

"The Parking Lot Slalom" Competition & Rules

I came up with this idea after watching the Police motors competition. I wanted to work on my low speed manuvers, but didn't have any cones, so I came up with this. I think it would be a lot of fun if some of you other riders gave it a try.

Once you have your run filmed post it as a video response to this video with the title, "Parking Lot Slalom." The title of your video should also include the make and model of your bike, and the time you finished in. Having all that info in the title of your video will make it easier for viewers to find what they are looking for.

Please post any questions you have in the comment section of this video. Good luck and ride safe!

I understand not all parking lots are the same, but they are probably pretty close. It's just a friendly competition.

In the UK, most public car parks are marked up with spaces about 4" narrower than they need to be to fit any car :-)

Also most of our cars are a tad smaller than those in the USofA anyway.

Worth trying for a laugh though.

I don't have a video camera so you'll just have to take my word for it that I did it in half your time ;-)

I'm just a dude with a video camera, not a motorcycle safety spokesman. Who also happens to be riding quite slow in this video. If I were to fall at this speed I may need to run home to my Mama for a band aid. But I would be okay.

Want to complain about setting a bad example check out these motorcycle police.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
