Motorcycle Adventurism - RTWD 2022

June 20, is the date of the world’s largest motorcycle event, Ride To Work Day www.ridetowork.org

In the spirit of Grant Johnson’s header to the HU Forum, “Get ready for a much better year in 2022 and plan to get on the road, even if it's a Mini-Adventure to somewhere new in your own country!” some of us are adding a 2022 segment to The Great Around The World Motorcycle Adventure Rally www.greataroundtheworldmotorcycleadventurerally.co m monikered “Looking For America.”

We plan to be riding our Mini-Adventure segment on June 20 from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Duluth, Minnesota and the world headquarters of Ride To Work Day at Aero Design and Manufacturing Company www.aerostich.com to arrive about noon.

Join in the 31st global Ride To Work Day, June 20, with us or on the roads around the globe.

Join another 1,000,000 On The Road

Another 1,000,000 + motorcyclists are expected to be seen on the roads around the globe on June 20, according to RTWD Central:

"This year’s 31st annual worldwide Ride to Work Day may be one of the largest-ever, according to Ride to Work, the non-profit organization coordinating this annual event. Each year on this day more of America’s 8,000,000 + motorcycles and scooters are ridden for practical and useful transportation. Estimates put the global number of additional motorcyclists on the road at 1,000,000 or more."

The below motorcyclist was spotted in SE Asia. He literally rode his motorcycle to work everyday, selling clothing off the back. June 20 is a good day in 2022 to leave the car or commuter sticker for the subway or bus at home and roll the motorcycle out of the garage, ride to work, join in the global fun.

Fritz, The World Motorcycle Adventure Tour and Travel Rally entrant from Germany said, "Like the song from EASY RIDER movie, I am going to 'head out on the highway, looking for adventure' on the way to and from work June 20."

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
