Hello Freek, excuse me for being a bit thick but i,m not sure what your saying.
Its a race, off road, between teams of riders one of whom has GPS ?
Are you taking part?
How competative is it?

Freek 30 Dec 2002 21:24

Bonjour,

No, it's not a race and it's not competative.

I organize it and take part.

The route is only available as a GPS-track, so at least one rider per group have to have a GPS.

So you're welcome with or without a GPS

The unpaved parts are (legal)farm and forest roads.

Freek,

I would love to come and join in. How much experience do you need?
Don't have years of experience and 500+km off road in one day seems a lot to me if you're not that experienced.

But I'll be happy to get a Belgian delegation together and come play.

Fireboomer.

The 70% unpaved roads are easy to drive.
No 'enduro-tracks'.
But sure it is a challenge to drive 500-550 km in one day. That's why we start at 5 am on the longest day.

Thanks for the info Freek, I keep bumping into you on various threads fireboomer!!
Well I dont have a GPS but I guess if a team will have me and my Aprillia then i,m seriously interested. It could be good practise for Russian tracks...Keep me informed please this sounds like a plan.

Freek 31 Dec 2002 21:28

right now I have 10 places available.
So drop me a mail when your sure you want to come.
I have to know what range you have with your fuel tank and I drop you in a group with a GPS.

You can camp here or stay in my logcabin.

Blackjack,

Off course you can join in. But don't expect me to be the expert.
My favorite way of learning:
Trial and error... so ;-))))

Hi Freek, ok, i,m sure i want to do it!! The tank range on the Pegaso is approx 100 miles on the road.....never been too far off road to know how far the tank will get me!!
If i have the option i will just bring my slug (sleeping bag) and stay in the cabin ..:-)

This sounds great. However all my holidays are booked up for this year. Definately count me in for 2004 though.

Cheers
Gibbo.

i'd love to join you if you're doing it next year - can't do this year. does the bike have to be an off-roader?

if you're making a list for next year, include me on it!

It's meant for bikes like KTM adventure, Tenere, GS etc. , but that's not an iron rule.

The 540 km has grown to 584 km.

Maybe next year a two day's 800 km trip.
