Japan Camp Meeting October 19, 2013

World Touring Network - Japan (WTN-J) Camp Meeting
October 19, 2013
Jaishi Campground, Nagano Prefecture, JAPAN
Map: Jaishi Campground - Google Maps
About 15km from Ihoku interchange on the Chuo Expressway.
Turn off highway 153 at the Shinanokawashima intersection, and basically follow the road until it dead ends. Campground is on the left about a kilometer past the dam. There should be "WTN-J" signs set up to help you find it.

The World Touring Network-Japan will be holding an informal camp meeting on October 19-20. Come meet motorcycle travelers and swap stories.
Details in Japanese are on the WTN-J website HERE

If you need more details, let me know.

Darned, Chris - again an inconvenient time and place
If it was any closer, I'd definitely use that 3-day-weekend.

Well, still hoping for another time and location - didn't forget a owe you a bier or two!!

Chris, I'm curious but haven't been to one of these meetings before. Can you tell us what it's like?

Not much goes on in terms of organized activities. People show up and share information about traveling. It is 'bring your own beer and food' but somebody always brings too much, so there is plenty to share of you run out (or don't bring anything).
Usually there is an time in the evening where everyone introduces himself/herself.
So, it is very informal meeting.
Just a chance to meet people and swap stories.

Understood. Thanks for the note. Not sure I can get away that weekend but if I can, I may attend.

I was planning on getting to this meeting but today i discovered a bad leak in my radiator. Unless I can find a radiator for a ktm 690 enduro tomorrow, I think I'll be stuck in Shikoku this weekend. :(

Klaus may be able to help as he is in Shikoku.
ktm 690 is not something you see every day in Japan, though.
Only KLM dealer on Shikoku is in Kochi, I think.
