The UK 2012 Adventure Travel Film Festival cometh!

Hot dang! Recent research has shown that all of Britain's sexiest men will be at two events this summer. These steamy hot two-wheeled Don Juans, the very epitome of tender but lasting virile libido, have but two dates in their little black books...

Naturally, the summer of love kicks off at Lumb Farm for the UK HU meet on July 5th-8th. Despite being world class paramours these he-men will allow themselves a mere four weeks to regain 'wood' in preparation for the weekend of 18th/19th August - thus unfoldeth the second Adventure Travel Film Festival in luvverly Dorset.

Tons of fun, fab facilities, terrific adventure speakers, sideshows a-plenty, but the cherry on the cake simply has to be the world premiere of 'Motosyberia 2.0 Reactivation'. If you are on this site you probably know about its prequel, Motosyberia but Maciek Swinarski's follow-up film will blow your mind!

There are several other awesome bike films in the schedule plus tons of other amazing travel movies from all over the world. Come on down and join the party!

Check out the full details at the film festival website The Adventure Travel Film Festival 2012 USA, Australia and UK

See you there folks, and at Lumb Farm before that.

I hasten to add that the film festival will also be full of red-hot sexy females too (just in case you were wondering about Austin's message...) In fact, the staff volunteer list is currently reading like a who's who of UK women adventure riders: Tiffany Coates, Suzi Searle, Sheonagh Ravensdale...

It's going to be a rockin' weekend. See you there!

Lois

Austin and Lois

Hey there folks. Greetings.

Michele and I will be back in the UK for a bit in June so just a little too early to catch the UK Adventure Travel Film Festival.

Would have been good to catch up with you guys in the UK but will see you when you are back in Australia next time.

We have 100hours of tape sitting in a box ready to go so with luck might have something to send you in due course!!!! We set off in 2 weeks.

Anybody reading this I suggest you go to the Festival. You will have a great time and your hosts will keep you entertained.

Regards

Callum

Great Fun!

Dear HUBBers

I don't know how many of you know about this Adventure Travel Film Festival (www.adventuretravelfilmfestival.com)? Last year was the inaugural event which I attended and thought it was great fun and showcased a number of excellent, high quality movies on Adventure Bike Travel.

I'm going again this year and the programme seems to indicate at least 4 motorbike specific films and, from what I remember, even those that weren't specifically motorcycle related were amazing to watch; one of my highlights was about some guys who canoed from the source of the Yensing (?) river, even though I have never been anywhere near a canoe! From my recollection, last year the largest proportion of attendees had arrived by motorbike, so its a good place to meet like minded souls.

I thought Maciek's Motosyberia was excellent and it was great to be able to chat to him after the showing - I think this year they are showing "Motosyberia 2.0 Regeneration" but don't know if he will be there?

Hopefully see some of you there - and that the weather gets better........

Cheers

Gary

Had a great time there!

Being short staffed, I didn't manage to get any pics this year. Would love to hear from anyone who's posted some, especially around the Roadkill area.

Thanks to all who came by

Cheers

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
