ABR Shows 2012 - Startford upon Avon - UK - May through to July 2012

ABR Nights comes to Stratford upon Avon!

Welcome to Adventure Bike Rider

Three shows done each month 16th May,12th June and 11th July.

Adventure Bike Rider is launching a series of evening get-togethers for ABRs this summer, to encourage, inform and inspire!

Set in the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon, ABR Nights is an unmissable opportunity for ABRs to get together, swap stories and advice, check out the brand-new model adventure bikes which will be on display, enjoy drinks and refreshments, and generally have a good time!

There will also be opportunity to hear first-hand tales of adventuring daring do from our well-travelled ABR-ing guest speakers.

The first event is Wednesday 16 May 2012 when guest speakers, Paddy Tyson, (veteran biker and MAG campaign manager) and Nathan ‘The Postie’ Millward will take to the stage. Paddy will be sharing stories from his 36 years’ experience on-and-off the road, and Nathan will be talking about his epic ride from Oz to the UK aboard an ex-postal bike.

The second ABR Night will be held on Tuesday 12 June 2012 when author Sam Manicom will be sharing his pearls of wisdom, and self-confessed ‘Leprechaun’ Norman McGowan will join us for a chat about his 35,500-mile ride through the Americas.

The third ABR Night will be held Wednesday 11 July 2012 with veteran speaker Sjaak Lucassen and guest – so watch this space!

All three ABR Nights will take place at Stratford’s Riverbank Restaurant and Bar, which will be reserved exclusively for the event (Restaurant and Bar In Stratford Upon Avon | Stunning Stratford Bar | Riverbank Lounge).

Drinks and refreshments will be available at the bar and there is ample parking for guests in the recreational ground where the venue is located. All guests will also take home an ABR goodie bag and family and friends are welcome.

Tickets are £8 in advance and £10 on the door.

For tickets, please call 01789 450 000

For more details, please contact James at: james@adventurebikerider.com

Is this the same Sam Manicom and Nathan'postie' Millward that took such a 'bashing' on the ABR forum about the books they had written? After an evening listening to these guys, perhaps the majority of ABR followers will realise there is life away from the monthly rallies.

Wink

Hold on Dave, the ABR rallies are cheaper than the HUBB or Pyrepuke up rallies!

But you dont get a stripper for a tenner, but ask niceley and Nate will do a HANDSTAND!

Just thought I'd pop in here and wish Nathan and Paddy every success on the night. They don't really need me to do that as they are both brilliant presenters with great tales to tell. Beats the hell out of being at home watching the TV.

If you are going, I've no doubt you'll be in for a thoroughly entertaining evening.

And I forgot... I'm not as multi talented as Nathan so please don't ask me to do a hand stand when its my turn to be presenting and the stripper bit doesn't work either - you really wouldn't want me to

It would be freaky if there were 4 people with 2 names!

There was no bashing about the book, it was that they can advertise and I recall it was 3 members of the forum that asked, rather like I'm doing here. I'm sure you, as an avid follower of ABR yourself, can understand that people have different passions and if some love a good rally then that does not mean that they would not love a good show also

I'll save you a ticket.

Hiya Sam!

Yes, the idea of you doing a handstand is not going to have the crowds flocking in I'm afraid mate! Perhaps the Paramedics?

Just an update on the third show - We have Ted Simon and Sjaak Lucassen turning up for a chat.

Thank you for all your help in this and I look forward to seeing you, Grant and Sue at the Ripley meeting.

Perish the thought dear chap, that I would imply anything!

Yeah, Ted and Sjaak always put on a good show, as do Paddy and Nathan and of course Norman spins a great yarn and this Sam fella is supposed to be OK

I know it could well be part of a long weekend and its a great idea but we wanted to look at the more local aspect for the first shows (40 mile radius) of most people having a busy weekend and looking for something to do on a week night.

We will look at putting on shows over a weekend period while this sets up

These look great; any chance of having them further east sometimes? Or at the weekends?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
