using a quad in morroco

Could anyone tell me what are the legalities for driving a quad on the roads in morroco. Do you have to have it road legal like you would back home.

The reason I ask is when you see the motor bikes driven by the locals they dont look too legal is there a differant law for them.

thanks spiro.

Has to be legal iirc, tho I suspect on the piste (with van support) you could get away with it. Met some French and Germans doing it (with 4x4 and trailers). Looks great fun. You can carry big loads easily.

Re local bikes - I think you are thinking of mopeds which dont have to be licensed. Anything bigger needs a plate I imagine.

Hi,
You may want to look into this a bit closer, for road use at least.
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing signs prohibiting quads on some roads, usually in or around towns.......anybody else seen these too??
Assuming you'd be trailering it into Morocco, it shouldn't be any issue at all, but something to bare in mind.
Would be great fun on the piste for sure.
Happy travels
Sam

When I left Morocco (Rabat) last December there were quads operating in the streets & in the back country. you have a good chance of going your own way with out of country tags & a pocket full of Dhurhams to pay bribes with!
