Derak Boocock is on a two-year world tour on his push bike and left Sidi Ifni today heading for Western Sahara, Mauritania and Senegal. From where he plans to continue south to South Africa and then up the east coast...

Please post any current tips, warnings, for Western Sahara. If anyone is on the road please keep an eye out for him, and stop and say hello. If you have a fridge, a cold drink might be welcome as well!

With two years to go, Derek's obviously on a tiny budget and is wild camping most of the time. He's not had great luck so far with Moroccan hospitality, with people trying to charge him for wild camping on waste ground and other scams.
