Paranoid about petrol stations !!!!!!

Making rough plans for my first trip to Morocco, and want to go from the Ouzoud Falls to the Dades gorge area a total of approx 250 miles via R304 R317 Imilchil and R704, could someone put my mind at rest regarding availability of fuel and are these roads busy ????

Depends on the route you are taking toward the cascades and from the R304 to R307, I'm guessing you'll be joining the two via the R306? There is fuel in Demnate, at the junction of the R206 and R304 North of Demnate (they do a damn good tajine there as well), Azilal and also just North of Imilchil. So long as you've got a fairly full tank at the cascades, or fill up at Azilal, you should be fine on that route.

There's a Ziz station just before Azilal, then a Shell in Azilal, then an Afriquia in Ouaouizarte (R306/R302 junction). From Ouaouizarte until the Inov station in Imilchil is 170km (105 miles).

The roads are lovely and empty, but you won't make much speed progress for the 60km after Ouaouizarte as the road twists around like mad.

If you have a Garmin satnav you should download the Olaf map, then supplement the fuel stations on that with my download of another 200 stations that aren't on Olaf. See Maps, guidebooks, and GPS (installing maps, waypoints/POI, and creating routes)

Many Thanks for replies,
The route is Ouarzazate- Demnate - Azilal- Imilchil- Dades,
Tank range is a comfortable 180 miles, so i'll keep it topped up

Imilchil to Dades is off road after Agoudal. Not difficult so long as the weather has been kind.

I'll possibly use the R703 to Tingher, thanks for info.

That's an easy but spectacular route, see E11 Todra Descent
