Morocco with an old XT6 in Bike magazine

Haven't actually seen a copy but I'm told a story on Morocco with an old XT6 wins the best reader's yarn in the August Bike magazine travel supplement.
Perhaps the guy used this forum?
More about it here.

Question

it's a bit confusing Chris- following your link-

"In fact he made it to Askaoun and down the road to Taliouine without problems which just goes to show you can manage without GPS if you have a bit of navigating nous."

as it looks like there is one in his cockpit!

"He then takes on MA7 over the Issil Plain and up onto Jebel Timouka – one of the best- but also the roughest tracks in that area, as he finds out on his hard-sprung XT."

and shows a picture of what seems to be a BMW 800 GS?

or am I seeing things??? too much couscous IMHO !
Looks like you have uploaded the wrong pic!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
