Moroccan entry with UK passports - 6 months grace?

The Ryan Air website says UK passports going into Morocco need to have six months on them (ie been in existence for 6 months) before the date of entry.

This is a new one on me, and the FCO website says nothing of the sort.

Anyone enlighten me? I havent been back for 18 months and Im out of touch...

You're sure they don't need to have six months remaining on them before expiry? That would be entirely normal. What you're describing defies anything I've ever heard of, in addition to common sense.

hee hee hee yeah Im not daft! Thanks for that. That's normal for about every country I can think of. No, Ryanair say 6 months viable passport before date of arrival - thats why the query.

Maybe they should write these things in crayon for morons like me?

Nah - bullshit - Ryan Air just trying to wind you up. It's six months left on passport to expiry date.

Are they strict about it? Was somebody refused entry because his/her passport was going to expire soon?

Also, the Spanish Foreign Ministry says 3 months, not 6.

Ryan Air = Bullshitters? Surely not!

I got into Morocco with brand new shiny passport that was only hours old. Stolen one was replaced at British Embassy in Madrid and then entered Morocco next morning. The officials did look at it a bit suspiciously but at least the photo was identical to my actual looks for once.
