Looking to hire

My girlfriend and I are heading to Morocco around the 17th of Sept. We are looking to rent a bike or 2 if the price is right. We are not looking for some high end bike that will cost us $80USD a day. We are just looking for some good reliable bikes that will haul a small amount of gear for a 3 week trip. We would settle for one bike if it had racks for bags. I see some photos of older XR or XT bikes but no one seems to be offering this type of bike. No big BMW or pricy bike like that. Just solid.

I have looked into a couple of companies who offer smaller bike but we would then need 2 bikes the that is just out of our budget for the trip.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm interesting in this as well. My GF will be traveling through Morocco September and October and I plan to visit her for 2 weeks in October. We'll be riding 2-up and need a bike big enough to handle us and our stuff, which I think will be a big 1200 GS.

We'll be meeting in Marrakech, any suggestions aside from Loc2Roues?

Thanks,
Eric

Buuurrt: Even older bikes cost a lot to import into Morocco, so the savings won't be great. I guess the hire companies will want to keep their fleet fairly new to reduce breakdowns and because most people will want fairly new bikes.

Eric: you could try Palm Road, Bienvenue à l'aventure Maroc

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
