Zeida to Imilchil

Hello and welcome to the HUBB.

We're friendly folks here so an introduction is always appreciated.

Regarding your enquiry, you'll find information on the route from Midelt to Agoudal in "Morocco Overland" by Chris Scott. It's route MH1, now mostly graded/asphalt, however, the beginning of the route at Cirque Jaffar is badly eroded, passable on a bike, difficult in a 4WD. You could instead take the tarmac road which begins about 12 km NW of Midelt on the N13.

There's a good road from Zeida via Boumia and Tounfite then Arhbala to Tizi-n-Izly. Turn left here and make the climb over the top to Imilchil passing Lac Tislit on the way. It's mostly good tarmac but does get beaten up by snow melt and flash floods. From Imilchil it's an east run down the valley to Agoudal.

Either way the scenery is stunning and folks are very friendly.

Happy trails,

Peter

This route is all pretty good tarmac but the gorge near Anemzi does get beaten up by floods - it's fine if it's dry.

Tounfite to Arhbala is all tarmac.

Or floods are possible in late April and early May?

Hello,
re about to embark in Morocco.
Which an interesting road to choose from Taroudant to Sidi Ifni ( only tarmac )?

priffe 21 Aug 2014 12:52

From Taroudant to Agadir not much to see. But as you turn south on N1 at Ait Melloul, after 20 kms or so, there is a sign for Tifnit to the right, road P1014. Go down to the sea and enjoy this picturesque fishing village. Then you can drive in the sand through the Sous-Massa national park all the way south to Sidi Rabat. In the park there are oryx and other antilopes, and many other animals.
From Sidi Rabat you can return to N1, or take the small gravel roads south to Aglou Plage, and from there tarmac to Sidi Ifni.

I thought to Tafraoute and Guelmin...
