Tyre Storage In Spain

I've heard from a friend that there are a few garages/tyre fitters in the south of Spain who will swap tyres over and store the tyres taken off and fit again for the return leg home.

Has anyone had any experience of this and could recommend any places?

Cheers

DG

It's a bit too far from the port, but thanks for the heads up.

Yes a little bit from Algeciras but only 70 km. from Motril. There is a new ferry line between Motril and Melilla Home | Naviera Armas

There is a lady called Hana who runs a bike warehouse near Marbella,
She has a tyre machine and is a Heidnau tyre dealer, you can store
tyres, kit, etc there whilst in Morocco. Google Motoadventours for her
contact details.

I had to service my Transalp 700 in Algeciras last October and both the Honda dealer in town and the BMW dealer just across the street were helpful. I had a right out dangerous front tyre at that time(too soft rubber compound) and decided to buy Metzeler Tourances or similar before heading home through Europe. I bought set of Tourances that they had in stock, not cheap though, but they did everything for me and also told me they used to swap and store tyres for overlanders heading into Morocco. Be sure to order beforehand. Im sure the Honda dealer would do the same. The dealers are on the main road going through Algeciras towards Tarifa.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
