Biker attacked in northern Morocco

I saw this today. The news are from a month ago though. I don't know if it was allready posted here.

3 thiefs trying to stop a biker at dusk, apparently wanting to steal the bike. Standing in the middle of the road and hitting the rider on the face with a stick or bat.
The rider here could escape from them, "only" with facial traumatism, broken septum, injured cheek and abundant bleeding.

elpueblodeceuta.es

Moroccan authorities say they're working to seize the attackers.

Hi Vander

Bad news for all of us. I also use that border.
But, anyway, maybe ...dusk is a bad hour to be at a wrong place like that. I usually prefer to cross by lunch time, avoiding the worst parts of the day: before 10 am and after 18 (6 pm), if possible.

Just an historical note about Ceuta:
Ceuta was conquered by Portugal in 1415. It was the first step for the colonial age. Spain got it free in 1640. Look at the arms sign of the city at any taxi door - it´s the portuguese flag.

Ceuta citizens know better than anyone what´s around the city. Anyway, a fast and complete recover for your motorcycle friend.

Cheers,

Rui

I think it´s an exceptional issue. Delincuence levels are low in Morocco, anyway you can find it in big towns: Casablanca, Tanger... and near borders

Hi Pera (Hola amigo)

No, Lisboa simbol and flag it´s mainly white and black, with two black birds side by side and a boat in the middle, on yellow scenary.

At Ceuta you find the same simbol of the center of the portuguese national flag, with 5 small escudos in the center and 7 castles around.
(Too war orientated for such a small country!)

Cheers,
Rui

Hi Pera.

Now I understand. It´s a pleasure for me to know that!
It makes me happy that you enjoy Portugal. One of this days we will book a meeting, right?
It can be in Algarve or Chefchaouen.

Big cheers,

Rui
