Hi All

I am heading over to Melilla on the Friday night boat ( 6th March) and was wondering can you get insurance in Melilla for a bike on a Saturday there?

Hi all,

I have a question regarding Tangier Med. Since it's been some years when i last visited morocco on a motorcycle, can anyone please describe to me the procedure for entering with a motorcycle now in order to be as quick as possible??
I'll be arriving with a ferry from italy, i am from EU and i have the CIN number already in my passport. But the motorcycle is different than the last time i entered...

thanx in advance

On the boat:
do passport immigration with policeman at desk counter with laptop. Will check your CIN. Different bike is not an issue as CIN refers to person not bike.

At port:
follow the lanes to customs and hand over TVIP/D16 (or fill one out) to Douane in grey uniform.
After a few mins and maybe a quick search they will hand it back stamped.

You're good to go but nearby you may want to change money from the kiosk - all kosher, no hassle - and with that money buy assurance next door.
Then ride out the port. For me last time < 30 mins.
First fuel here - 7kms.

Green card is assurance so no need to buy locally.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
