Overland driver/tourleader required

Hi
Im looking for someone to be the Tour leader/Driver of a overland Bedford 4x4 truck driving for 6 or 7 months from Iceland to Cape town via west and central Africa
Starting in January 2015
You will be taking 14 pax and have 1 courier helper who has done the trip before,

you need to be

Mature
have a HGV or PCV licence
Used to driving trucks ( it has no power steering)
independent
a little mechanical skill would be a benefit
some french would also help...but you can learn easy
A western passport ( helps with visas )
used to travel in the developing world

You would be the main driver ( we provide a GPS and places to head to) and tour leader, taking care of the paperwork/visas ( we help with this) this is a real bare bones operation in a old ex army truck, we keep it cheap and cheerful.

get in contact with some info about yourself if you are interested

I'm also interested to know. Sounds like a nice offer, I would even consider it if I had a truckers license. Travelling like this must be interesting.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
