Angry Tyre woe in Dubai!!

I have been trying to get hold of some tkc 80s for my dakar but they are like gold dust and the continental dealer just doe'snt care about bike tyres! I have thought about metzeler but again no one has the karoos in at the right size, making me wait till their next bulk purchase!

So, I have two options, one to wait it out and run the tyres i have into the ground or get some excel rims and get some proper size tyres.

And lets not get started on touratech....

Why is it so difficult!!!

Anyone facing the same problems, any solutions, anyone selling rims/tyres??

Once again much appreciated

Sam

P.s. Hi honey I know you read my posts so hello!! Thats for the wife, before anyone gets any funny ideas

My wife is coming to DXB on Tuesday back from Europe - If you need tires ASAP she can bring set with her - no probs. Back home should be no problem to get tires.

Gimme a buzz if urgent - 0505071135

BR that is most kind of you, I will take you up on that offer. I shall give you a ring in the next day, once again thanks!

Hey stephano, well what can i say about my trip, not much as it went bust due to my friends not wanting to camp due to the supposed danger from snakes and scorpions!!! (Who knew they can unzip tents). Then I get landed with a months worth of work, so to cut a long story i didnt go

But i have been looking at the maps you sent me and I'm still up for going when things settle down!

How about yourself?

Off to the UK next week - away from the heat till August. I'm not scared of spiders if you fancy trying Oman again when it gets cooler.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
