I once lived in sharjah for almost 4 yrs.. That was when I worked as a receptionist in a restaurant. Oh..such a strict place. I could not roam around the city with my boyfriend..so scared, the police might catch us. Couples out of wedlock are not allowed to show the public their affection to each other.

I used to goto the souk a lot in Sharjah to buy furniture and stuff with my parents. Also went to Sharjah english school for a year. Definately a few years behind Dubai where we lived for 18 years till 1997
