Take the coast road but remember that you carnet is worth nothing in yemam! i had them enter my bike using a page in my passport then it was stamped out at Al Marka Easy!!!

Recently got back
I rode Dubai-Oman-Yemen-Oman-Dubai a few weeks ago. Pain in the ass with police and military post in Yemen - in the end I started to drive straight through them so they couldn't stop me. Figured that since they were supposedly there to protect me they wouldn't shoot me in the back, turned out I was right. They don't even call ahead to the next one.
