Hi, what was your plan, from where to where?
I wonder do you have to apply from an adjoining country only?

Intended to enter Saudi from Jordan at Halat Amar, exit at UAE.

I recall HUBB user StrikingViking (also a US passport holder) tried twice from a neighboring country and was refused twice. So the track record isn't good.

Cheers

When I was riding back to Riyadh from Jordan, they gave me a police car escort all the way, cars in relays. This seems to be SOP, others report same deal in North and West. Maybe why they do not but out the transit visas for bikers. Still, worth a try. Will you be resident in UAE? Might make a difference if you can show that?

I was hoping to go through KSA, UAE, Oman, Yemen, then Djibouti as part of my RTW route. But without the KSA transit visa, it looks like it's Jordan, Egypt, Sudan & onward south. Either way I think I'll have an interesting time.

Visa for Sudan

We are also keen to go via Saudi into Sudan in a RHD landcruiser, but are an unmarried couple. Has any other unmarried woman got a transit visa for Saudi?? What are our chances?

Can we get the visa for Sudan in Jordan?

We are keen to visit Egypt, just don't want to pay the carnet and other fees to take the car through there. Has anyone left their vehicle somewhere (in Jordan) and gone into Egypt on foot?

Cheers
