Pakistan to Arabic peninsula with 4x4
 

Information wanted!

We want to travel with our 4x4 (Toyota LandCruiser) from Pakistan to the Arabic peninsula and then on to Africa or Syria, Turkey and Europe, mainly to save us the hassle of an Iranian visa and we have already been there.

So far, we think we have two options:
1) To ship from Karachi (Pak) to Dubai, from there overland to Saudi and then to Jordan.
2) Also ship to Dubai, but then drive to Oman and Yemen, and from there ship to Africa (Djibouti?)

One thing: we really don't want to ship by container so the shipping must be roll on/roll off.

Any ideas, advice, other possibilities and routes, possible visa and carnet problems, security problems are welcome!

Some specific questions that we were already alerted to:
- We heard you have to prove you're married to get a visa for Saudi. True?
- How about the safety in Yemen? Lonely Planet scared us...
- Where is the best place to arrange all visas, Pakistan maybe?
