Ferry Iran -UAE

Booking the ferry from Bandar e Abbas to Sharaya

I' m going to explain the procedure buying tickets and leaving Iran by ferry.

1. * * You can buy a passenger ticket in any town in Iran. I bought one in Shiraz by "Iran Travel Agency" for 45 Dollar.
2. * * Once in Bandar e Abbas you have to go to the governmental shipping company at tunktion *Jahãngardi - Bolvãr Pãsdãrãn. *( 7 kilometers west the city center)*
*Just in the corner there is the building and in the second floor you can buy the ticket for the bike. I've paid 780'000 Rial.*
3. * *Then you have to go 3 kilometer west to port " Bonahar". After the entrance in the first Barack on the left there you get a couple of stamps in the CDP.
4. * * Three baracks later there is the custom. You will get some Paper and they charge ten dollar for it.
5. * * Behind the left, the second Building on the corner there you get some other paper. Inside the building you have to go to your right to the first officer and then anti clockwise to *the next. That officer asks you to do 12 copies in an other building in front of you. Then go back and there is waiting an other very friendly officer for you.
6. * * They go on f....ing you. The officers won't speak English. They are really unhappy on work. Then at 2100 i get the bike on board. One hour later the ferry left. The next morning at 1000 we arrived in Sharaja. There the big moment. They asked for 300 dollars. Nobody told me before. In my mind i paid the ticket before in the office in Bandar Abbas..... A big.....it!
7. * * * Paperwork in UAE is at list also 3-4 hours!

Ferry Update!

Hi All
Ive been following this post because I will be making the crossing travelling onwards to Zahedan, and forward thr Pakistan, India, China and Asia overland.
I had called the Oasis Freight Company here in Dubai like everyone advised, but all numbers are disconnected and its ridiculous to find this company on the internet.
So I took it upon myself to make fresh headway and found ANOTHER shipping company that have ferry tickets to Iran. Try this company- the offices are in Dubai and at the docks in Sharjah:
Good Luck Shipping
06 5288575
04 3575222

As it says Good luck!

Update on Ferry Crossing from UAE to Iran

Hi guys,

I just took the ferry from UAE to Southern Iran. You can find all the details on my blog. To reduce the costs & have much more fun I have a few tips that you can read on the blog too.

Motorcycling in Central Asia, UAE, OMAN, China, Pakistan, Iran |

It was quite easy but tough at the same time as the Iranian website didn't work and the ferry guys in Dubai were really unfriendly and greedy.

Good luck!
Mahsa
