Motorcycle rental in Turkey to take into Iran?
 

Hi there. My rapidly disintegrating plan is to rent a motorcycle in Turkey (ideally a 650 Dual Sport), and cross Turkey into Iran, head for Tehran, and then return back to Turkey, then fly back to the US. I planned on about 12 days riding.

The problem I'm running into is finding a rental. It seems the paperwork for getting a rental bike into Iran is a bit too much for them to bother for one bike. Also, I suspect it makes some of the renal offices a little nervous.

I know I can purchase a used bike elsewhere, and use that, but I don't have the time to try to sell it back after the trip.

Has anyone a recommendation I've not considered here?

Never heard done before,almost impossible ..Turkish number plated vehicles also need carnet to İran which means 1.000 usd. deposit to the Turkish touring club,and a great risk as you will also need a vehicled local escort for İran.( for UK-Canada-USA citizens)

Sounds like buying a bike elsewhere may be the only solution. Although, not a great one.
