it is about 180-200 KM and the road is tarmac. Might take about 2.5-3 hours. However, it is army operation area. And most of the roads are controlled or closed by Turkish Army to prevent the PKK's terrorist attact. Also PKK puts landmines on the road. It is quite dangereous travel in that area. I am sure Turkish Army will take care of your security but not the Kurdish terrorist group PKK. You can easly find taxis or bushbusses there for a cheap price. Do not forget to negotiate

Have fun.

Hi Again,

Diyarbakir-Mardin is about 280-300 Km. might take 4-4.5 hrs. Busses are not expensive in Turkiye. From Diyarbakir to Silopi might take app. $30 one person/one way. I cant give you any price for taxis, you have to negatiate. Wont be less then $150-200 from Diyarbakir to Silopi.
Borders... I really dont know how the border is now a days. If you want to cross it, I am sure you will.

best of luck
