A quick Google search reveals that AB Maritime has ferries from Aqaba to Nuweiba, a little ways down Sinai from Taba.

Made that search and found the same result.
My question is why we need to go that down?

Heart that they opened a new ferry between Tana-Aqabah. But couldn't find out any certain schedule...

Why don't you email AB Maritime and ask them? If they are running ferries out of Aqabah then they'' know .. even if they are not doing the run you want themselves. Suggest you ask for costs at the same time .. cost to Nuweiba that is.

Hi Samy,

There is no ferry to transport vehicles from Aqaba to Taba! There used to be high speed boats connecting Aqaba (and Tala Bay South of Aqaba) with the holiday resorts of Taba Heights, but they only take foot passengers.

Please check with the company Sindbad here:

Contact Us

They do reply in English.

Attention: Usually, you can not continue from Taba because this ferry is meant for tourists who will come back to Jordan. In any case you will have to obtain an Egyptian visa before. You can not get it in Taba Heights!!

On the other hand: Why would you want to go to Taba? It is only an hour driving from Nuweiba if you really want to go there. But there is nothing except for a few holiday resorts. The Sinai you can not cross at this time due to the volatile situation. So if you want to continue you would have to go around the Southern corner of the peninsula in Sharm el Sheikh.

The only problem with Nuweiba is that the customs there is a hassle which will take some five hours in the middle of the night to clear.

The ferry from Aqaba to Nuweiba runs every night at around 11 p.m. (I am not sure about Friday!). Arab Maritime have an office in Amman, close to the 7th Circle (once there you can ask anyone for directions).

Greetings,
Achim
