Jordan Carnet?

Reading the posts for Middle East I realize that there is no need for a carnet for entering Syria.
But what about Jordan? Do I need a Carnet to enter Jordan?

No carnet for Jordan? Are you sure? As far as I know, after Turkey you need carnet for all Middle East.

Don't know about Jordan, but can be done w/o Carnet in Syria, UAE & Oman as far as i'm concerned from the reports here. Iran too can be entered w/o Carnet, but requires quite much paper hassle and problems and time on the border, but people say it's doable if you really want to.

We are leaving for Jordan in week. We are not going with a carnet.
Embassy('s) (Holland & Belgium) assured none was needed. Only regular papers.

The confusing is caused by the fact that normally nobody exept police and royal famely is allowed to ride a decent motorbike. A two week exeption is made for a tourist.
So you can spend two weeks on you motorbike in Jordan without carnet.

Well, if we come across an internetcafé and have some time you'll read about it.

Just to confirm that you do not need a Carnet for either Syria and Jordan on a motorcycle as just travelled through without one.

Saying that though it is much easier and quicker with one.

Cheers

We are back in Turkey.
No problem to visit Jordan and Syria without CPD. Get it at the border (trip ticket)
But bit expensive.
Syrýa: 142 dollar
Jordan: 60 Joran pounds

This is for 2 bikes, trip tickets for a week in both countrýes.
One week ýnsurrance ýn Jordan and one month ýn Syrýa.

Advice: take the smallest bordercrossings. There easier as we experienced.
