iran-pakistan

I saw very good information on that forum. Im traveling with muy girfriend from spain to australia by land, now is our 15th month of travel.
We have a big deal with pakistan. The embassies dont give us the visa withouta letter of our embassy, and our embassy dont want that we go, and dont give us the letter.
Some of you recently cross the border from zhaedan, doing the visa in the pakistani consulate? do they ask for a letter of your embassy? or is easy to do.

thank you very much, this information is very usefull for me

The Pak consulate in Zahedan is not very useful for visas, unfortunately. I was there in 2006 and I must say the situation certainly is a lot worse now. I can understand your embassy's reluctance. Worst case, you can try Zahedan, but it's a long way back. You won't get out of Iran (if you have a vehicle). They do check the VIN number. But I did get into Pakistan without a Carnet, although I had one... getting out was a touch harder but still I made it without bribes. Good luck. Here's some more info: :: NOHORIZONS.NET ::

Welcome to the HUB.

Same trouble with German embassies. However, the German consulate in Dubai issued the letter requested by the Pakistan authorities. Contact user beddhist for details.

I am aware that this would only be a last resort because of the trouble of getting into Dubai - but at least it could be a last resort.

Good luck

Lars

All right! Good for you. Saves you having to post your passports home.

Don't make the same mistake I made and get the Indian visa in UAE, too. They will only give you 3 or 4 months and time starts ticking from the day it's issued. Get the Indian visa in Islamabad instead.

Safe travels.
