Ferry from Haifa to Greece
 

I've been checking the HUBB for info on Haifa to Greece ferries, with no luck. Rosenfeld says their ferry services are halted for the time being. I'm in southern Egypt now and heading for Eastern Europe in the next week or two. Any solid info on various options would be appreciated. I suppose I could cross Libya and catch a ride north from Tunis, though this sounds problematic, expensive, etc. I'm planning to cross Russia around July/August so Jordan/Syria/Turkey will take too much time right now. Thanks for any up to date/specific advice, Hook.

This article is from november '06. It describes sailing from Greece TO Egypt. Without searching too much more, I'm guessing the reverse trip is equaly possible. Worth checking into I guess.

Addendum: Just realized, after checking your post again, that you were asking for specifics. Not just some newbie shooting his mouth off after having done a minor google search :). (just for clarification; that newbie was me.). Still, if no one else answers, it may pose a direction for you to search for a solution.

Dear Sirs
Cypriot, Israeli and Greek people have Joined together to try to bring back
the ferry lines between Israel, Cyprus and Greece.
Join us in our effort to bring back the Med Ferries.
Nowaday there is ABSOLUTELY no way to travel by sea between Greece- Israel, Cyprus-Israel and Cyprus- Greece, but a cruise ship named Salamis Filoxenia which comes not often and it's not for vehicles.
There is a petition in Hebrew and now we are making one
in English to get help from people in Greece and Turkey.
If you think you and others want ferries please sign.
