Adeeb,
Either go via Iran if you can get a visa or Saudi Arabia if you can get a transit visa. Either way, you'll probably end up in Turkey and then you can choose:

Greece => Italy by ferry
Greece => Balkans
Bulgaria => eastern Europe

Via Iran, you'll need an expensive carnet de passage.
Via Saudi, you can get away without having one but might have more border hassles than if you do get one.

You're supposed to have an International Driving Licence issued by the UAE Automobile Club for DH100 but no one will ever ask you for it.

Your visas will depend on your nationality.

Hope it goes well, Stephan

Adeeb

Saed & Rami? Yes, that's me. :)

You can do this trip taking any of the routes mentioned in 2-3 weeks but I advise you to take 3-4 at least. Two weeks is not enough time to enjoy the journey.

The roads in Bulgaria can be quite bad with lots of potholes and there are a lot of horse and carts on the roads in Romania so take it easy going round bends - you might have to slow down unexpectedly.

hahah, small world, i came with you guys a few times on a CR 250, i remember your XR , sorry about that. i remember that you did the trip with your daughter and lost your friend on the way.

you are right, 2 weeks would be short, if i wanted to enjoy it, i wanted to take as much country roads as i can instead of the main highways to get better scenery, do you think thats possible or will i take forever and end up lost? or are the main highways good enough?

That's an unanswerable question when spread over 10 or so countries... best thing is to head north-west(ish) and follow your nose and your mood on the day. :mchappy:
