Did also those countries during the summer this year.
No problems, nice people, good traffic.

Pryvit, Jorjeck!

I with my girl rode Georgia and Armenia in 2010 and it was a fantastic trip!
Traffic is nothing to be scared of, sceneries on the Caucasus are majestic, and the monasteries in Armenia are really amazing.
As for the road conditions, there's quite a few potholes on the road but if I did it on my previous bike (a heavy Harley Electra Glide Ultra), any bike can make it.

Don't absolutely miss the Georgian Military Highway up to Kazbegi, it was the highlight of our trip, entirely paved except for 24 km. which anyway will give you no problems at all (I repeat, I rode that dirt road stretch on a Harley with pillion and full luggage with no problems).

Pakà,
Nick

+ 1 re the GMH - this bit of road will make your trip.

But be warned - there is nothing at the border post or for about 30kms either side., just a few very small villages. No fuel, no food, no accommodation, no money exchange.
Be prepared.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
