A few quick questions!

I have a Dakar 06 and have bought the bmw motocross boots, but I just cannot get my foot under the gear lever anyone know how i can remedy this? I have seen the rallye peg and gear lever in touratech but it usually takes forever to get here in dubai and thats if they have it in stock! Are there any places I could get this locally in dubai?

Also, I was wondering if any of the riders on this forum went to the BMW offroad meeting that BMW held last fri?

I am also posting this in the bmw section, just wondering if any of the UAE guys know anything to help.

I have replied this this in the BMW section. However, here's the link that might help you.

I did not know about the BMW offroad meeting. Can you let me know of any BMW activities, please?

Sure thing I will let you know, it was a small introduction to see the interest in such a thing. We got about 20 riders, and BMW flew in an offroad instructor from BMW S.Africa. I have to say it was a bloody fantastic day, it wasn't just riding it was all about repairs and how to ride in different conditions. Then end of day a 35km ride through hatta mountains. All for 200dhs!!

They are looking to do a couple of days, with a more intense training. So if you register your interest with Haitham at BMW Sheik Zayed that would help make this a regular thing!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
