Registered charity needs a car!

The Kapsiki Foundation, a charity registered in Spain, actively promotes women's rights in the Kapsiki region of Northern Cameroon. We have established a women's centre, are teaching traditional artwork, weaving etc, we have a pharmacy up and running and assist in improving health and nutrition for mothers and babies. We also run classes in malaria prevention and HIV/AIDS awareness. In great demand, we have several hundred square kilometres to cover and desperately need a car. The ideal would be a 4X4, LWB, Diesel, but we aren't fussy! Money is naturally tight and we are praying for a "white knight" to donate a vehicle either in Africa or Europe. In return we can only offer maximum media coverage to the benefit of all concerned.

Can someone out there please help?

Hi Wilco

Surprised to see nothing on your profile - nothing at all.

Hmmm, good point. I'm a refugee from the demise of the Thorn Tree, now use Thorny Tree Refuge site. I'll rectify that omission now.

Dave & I are both Thorn Tree refugees, hence my 'TT' bit before my name. He's written some fantastic stuff about several trips down to Cameroon & elsewhere in W.Africa with & without his own vehicle on the Thorn Tree over a few years & is firmly committed to helping people in Cameroon!

Someone out there must know of a vehicle that could be donated to the charity??? Please!

Have you considered a motorcycle instead

Obviously depending on your needs and budget one or more motorcycles
may be worth considering instead of a car.
Riders for Health (Home) are the experts in this area
and are currently running some projects in adjacent Nigeria.
