LOVE RIDE made in Czech

Sidecar Adrenalin of czech handicapped rider in Africa

Project of Sidecar Ride of handicapped motorcyclist Zdenek Krupicka and your participation on his ride offers an unique way how to show that we all care about people who were less fortunate in their lifes.
The purpose of the ride is to promote an establishing of Love Ride in Czech Republic (Love Ride) .

Zdeněk´s path to dreamed Casablanca in sidecar has its roots at support staff of Jedlička´s Institution. They gave him nearly two decades of everyday care and Zdeněk thanks to his will and optimism has became a top czech handicapped sportsman, representing Czech Republic in sledge hockey . Zdeněk also achieved interesting results in his Adrenalin bez barier – such as nearly one week adventure in Romanian Mountains where he was climbing them with his wheelchair.

After handicapped sportsman will return from american Boston , MA from world sledge hockey championship in the beginning of April 2008 he is taking off for another adventure. He will participate in SIDECAR RIDE 2008 powered by BMW CLUB PRAHA which is a motorcycle sidecar ride from Prague to Casablanca from April 12th, 2008 till May 4th, 2008.

In Marocco Zdeněk will join a Horizons group to ride with them for a couple of days together and hopefully to participate in their meeting. The whole ride will be documented by Mr. Hostálek – famous czech motorcyclist traveler and reporter – he will ride solo motorcycle , provide newspaper coverage in czech and german language and will write a book about this ride.

This project was iniciated by members of BMW Club Praha – Jan Žlábek, Jiří Ledinský and Radek Kriegler and is organized with the support of Mr. Jan Pičman , director of Jedlička´s Institution. His goal was to offer to a friend with disability sharing the pleasure from traveling by motorcycle.

The new mission has been given to this ride after Motorcycle 2008 exhibition in Prague. We all were suprised by huge support from other motorcyclists and Zdeněk decided to promote an idea of establishing LOVE RIDE CZ by riding 5900 km in sidecar to Morocco.

He got inspired by the tradition of HD clubs in America and Switzerland which organize Love Rides every year for last twenty years. Zdeněk would like to thank to the Jedlička Institution who helped him a lot in his life by organizing a fundraising one day event in future in Prague in favour of non-profit fund of his former instution where he grew up.

Shall you wish to support his goal please come to join his long ride – the itinerary will be published at www.cee-motorcycletours.com/pressnews.html . where you will get information about the time and place where Zdeněk and his team will ride nearby your town.

We wish to thank to all who support motorcycle travel projects of handicapped – our gratituidy belongs especially to general sponsor : CARSERVIS s.r.o. – BMW SIDECAR czech based firm which rented the sidecar for free for this project.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
