Hi folks,
I just set up an internet sponsorship page for Save The Children on the 'justgiving.com' website. I thought "Well I'm going anyway, someone might as well benefit." and it was really simple, took about ten minutes and totally automated so no hassle for me in the future! I am in the planning stages of a motorcycle ride from Vladivostok, Russia to Chernovtsy, Ukraine to document the lives and living conditions of the children in orphanages in Russia and Ukraine in hopes of finding people interested in helping these children make something of their lives.
I have been working with orphans in Russia and Ukraine for the past 5 1/2 years having traveled there 19 times. I speak Russian fluently so am able to communicate well with these kids.
I am not good at asking for money but this trip will obviously cost a lot and I am planning on spending 3 months and stopping at every orphanage I can find.
Any help or suggestions on setting up and maintaining a website as well as how to do a traveling update would be appreciated.
