Get sponsored: it's so easy!

Hi folks,
I just set up an internet sponsorship page for Save The Children on the 'justgiving.com' website. I thought "Well I'm going anyway, someone might as well benefit." and it was really simple, took about ten minutes and totally automated so no hassle for me in the future! I'll be interested to see how much money it raises. For those who haven't seen these before check out mine;

Oh, if you wanna sponsor me (I know, it was coming all the time, shameless spongeing! )that'd be great too!

Matt

riding for others

hey Matt....we thought it would be cool to do a little 'you pat my back and we'll pat yours' sorta thing. We just sponsored your fundraising mission and was hoping you could check out ours. (link below) Great idea by the way. And yes, it is super easy to become involved, I'm surprised more of us aren't doing it. Always nice to travel with a purpose, and have a blast doing it!

good luck to Nepal

hello,
I am in the planning stages of a motorcycle ride from Vladivostok, Russia to Chernovtsy, Ukraine to document the lives and living conditions of the children in orphanages in Russia and Ukraine in hopes of finding people interested in helping these children make something of their lives.
I have been working with orphans in Russia and Ukraine for the past 5 1/2 years having traveled there 19 times. I speak Russian fluently so am able to communicate well with these kids.
I am not good at asking for money but this trip will obviously cost a lot and I am planning on spending 3 months and stopping at every orphanage I can find.
Any help or suggestions on setting up and maintaining a website as well as how to do a traveling update would be appreciated.
Thank you
Patrick Day

Many grains of sand soon make a dune

Launching my 3rd mission in a few weeks to help an orphange in Mali. Some pictures and info here:
1st time was with my F650 GS Dakar
2nd and 3rd time by 4x4 pickup due to weight and volume!
Google 'Bertrand Sargisson'

Feels fantastic, getting there and seeing those wonderful courageous children again who struggle in Africa without their natural parents is...beyond what words can express . Awesome
Only when each of us takes charge and does something to help others, can we ever hope to build a better world.

As at March 2008, Third mission completed & successful -
