Fundraising 4 non profit organisation
Hey Everyone,
I'm going to travel the Americas in Juli 2012. I would like to combine my trip to do fundraising for my sisters non profit organisation: www.duara.org , apart from the volunteering work that I will do along the way. I'm in the fase of brainstorming and came up with ideas like: ask friends and friends of friends to sponsor my sisters organisation through my trip per kilometer, write to motorcycledealers, manufacturers, motorcycle clothing compagnies to donate a percentage of the retailprice of the stuff they are willing to "give" me, etc. I'm also thinking of making a facebook account and looking for a slogan. Does anyone have some tips, be willing to help me out with information or perhaps sponsorship? Lucien

Unfortunately I don't have any information for you right now... but starting my own research as well, on this site and others. Even reading fundraising for dummies
. Oh, I'm doing so because I'm planning the same sort of trip, starting a bit later than you (San Diego, CA to Buenos Aires, Argentina).Anyways, if you find any good information, please update this post. I'll do the same. Thanks, and good luck! Nathan |
