First big ride for UNICEF (kids of Morocco)
 

Hi guys,

Six weeks after getting my Learner Permit and practising riding my Suzuki Marauder round my local suburbs, on Sunday I'm going to do my first Big Ride - a 300km round-trip from Port Melbourne to Phillip Island. It'll be a big challenge, as it's triple the distance I've ever done on my bike and on some much more challenging roads than I'm used to. Till now, I've never ridden above 60kph - that will all change on Sunday!! :cool4:

I'm doing the trip in aid of UNICEF - I've signed up to do their Trek for the Children of Morocco in November and I have to fundraise around GBP 2,600 (AUD $4,500) for UNICEF before I go (I'm paying my own way for the trip, so all money raised goes straight to UNICEF).

As a newbie motorcyclist, I'm already discovering how I can use my riding to help others and make a difference - Sunday will be a challenge, but I'm ready for it! Wish me luck!

Congratulations Jeanie, that will give you lots of motivation for your next mission. I love to support Unicef, because I feel they are a serious group of people. I also support Medecins sans frontier, who are also very present in North and Central Africa.
