Namibia: Best landy mechanics?
The landy needs some tlc in Namibia - any advice/experience for a place to go in the north or Windhoek?
I also need a front wing replaced ;-)

Realise this is an old thread, but thought it might be useful to recommend a landy mechanic if needed for anyone who might be doing some backround searches for an upcoming trip in Namibia. The place i came across is in Swakopmund in the industrial area, called Harry's Garage. He's well known so just ask for Harry if you can't find the place...like me. He does a lot of work on landy's and had mine back on the road at a very reasonable price.

Two good places for parts & work in Namibia
Hi folks
In terms of Land Rover parts, you can get some great priced parts and advice from LR Parts Swakopmund & Windhoek In terms of work - we went to Stienfeld Garage South of Kertmansdorp - happy to share location details if needed. Both establishments are VERY good - especially after the beating your vehicle gets on the trip through Central Africa - we gave our Landy some TLC in Namibia. If you are venturing into the remoter deserts of Namibia and Southern Angola coming up from South Africa, we would recommend a check over with these guys. There are plenty of garages and workshops in both cities and parts are easily found. HTH Nick
