What years work?
I have a 91 KTM 300 MX (2-stroke) I want to put a KTM 300 EXC motor (4-stroke exc) on my frame. I was wondering how new of a motor I can put on my frame. Can some one tell me?

Sorry but i'm pretty sure none will 'just' fit. All 4stroke's are a lot higher then the 2stroke's. To high to fit in your frame.

Funny enough it would be easy enough to put a lightweight (RFS) 4stroke motor in your 300 EXC. But there is a major flaw in fitting a 300cc EXC motor into the frame KTM don't make a 300cc fourstroke motor. they do make a 250, 400, 450, 520, 525, 530 and there are variations on these capacities but nothing that relates to 300cc.
i'd be honest with you here to buy a motor is going to be expensive or your going to get a non runner then you need carb, electrics and exhaust system would it not be cheaper/easier to buy a fourstroke KTM.

Hey, thanks. i never really paid any attention to what KTM made. i bought it because it was 500 bucks. i've been dumping money into ever since. i want to sell it because its just too much money. time to go back to the mean green. all i know is on ebay they are selling 300 exc four strokes.
