welding frame lc4
 

hi guys, ive recently bought a 620 super comp and i have cracked off a piece of the rear sub frame. i was wondering because this bike doesnt have a battery will i burn out the electrics if i weld the frame back together without removing it from the bike...(cannot disconect battery to cut the circuit ect)

ps ive ridden this bike twice and both times something major has broken, these ktm sure a fickle creatures...

I'd just make sure that the alternator/generator is disconnected ... that way no current can get to the windings and fry anything there.

As a rule, I've always made sure that ALL electrical connections between the engine and chassis have been broken... never had any problems yet
