Wanted damaged or rough Fuel tank for 1999 KTM LC4 Adventure

I recently purchased an immaculate 1999 KTM LC4 Adventure but i will soon be heading around Australia and through the outback and i believe the probability of the tank remaining in such good condition is very low so i am looking to purchase a second hand or slightliy damaged 28L tank if any body can help me i am willing to pay any thing reasonable

Check with the KTM dealer in Alice Springs
They appeared to have a few used tanks to fit KTMs lying around.

Hi,

Have you tried calling Sydney KTM?

http://www.motorcycle.net.au/ktm.htm

They have a sister company, sydney motorcycle wreckers, who supply breaker/3rd party equipment. I found them to be very helpful.

HI
I have a 2000 KTM fuel tank. It is damaged near the place where it meets the seat.
It happened in an accident. A friend of mine said it could be fixed with "enduro tank fixing cement" (that's how we call it here in Portugal) and that it stays ok and it's simple to do it!!
The insurance company paid a new one so i have this one in my garage!!
Once i filled it with 28 liters....i can't put more than 25 in the new one!!!
say something and we can arrange it!!
cheers
